Free expo opens the door to a career that makes a difference

With aged care one of the fastest-growing industries in the country, locals looking for meaningful work now have the opportunity explore what a career in the sector could look like.

The Northern Sydney Aged Care Careers Expo will run from 10am to 12.30pm on Thursday 29 October at the Dougherty Centre, 7 Victor Street, Chatswood.

Ku-ring-gai Council has joined forces with City of Ryde, Mosman and Willoughby Councils and partnered with Your Side to bring this initiative to the community.

Aged care offers steady, rewarding work supporting some of the community's most vulnerable people. This free event is a chance to meet employers, ask questions, learn about what qualifications are required and plan your career pathway.

Attendees can look forward to:

  • meeting a range of aged care employers face-to-face;
  • getting tailored advice on job roles, specialisations and career pathways;
  • hearing from speakers who've built rewarding careers in aged care;
  • walking away with a free employment pack (registration required).

The event is free, but spots are limited, so early registration is recommended.

The accessible venue is close to bus, train and metro connections. Light refreshments will also be available.
