Visit Retford Park in Bowral

Please note - price change from $90 to $95 as morning tea now included.

We will have a guided tour of the elegant Retford Park, then be free to wander the gardens dotted with sculptures and artworks. Lunch will be at Moonacres café next door, where you can also visit the Southern Highlands Regional Gallery Ngununggula. We will have a short stop on the way for morning tea at the Art Cafe at Campbelltown Art Centre.

Retford Park’s history extends back to land grants made by Governor Macquarie in 1821. The house was built in 1887 by the Hordern family and in 1964 James Fairfax bought Retford Park. He lavishly re-designed the house and filled it with an impressive art and furniture collection, later gifting it to the National Trust having always believed that it should be preserved for the enjoyment of future generations.

Bring your walking shoes. The upper floors are accessible by stairs only.

Morning tea included. Lunch at your own expense.
