NAIDOC Week Traditional Dance Workshop

First Nations People have been performing cultural dance for hundreds of thousands of years.

Dance is used to tell the stories of creation beliefs, connections to totems, to tell stories of ancestral heroes and to educate about country, kinship and cultural responsibilities. In this workshop participants will learn all about cultural dance and meaning behind the dances they are learning.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn cultural dance and song in a fun interactive session.

Gawura Cultural Immersions is a company that prides itself on high level cultural education. We utilise the ancient First Nations cultural knowledge that has been passed through countless generations to facilitate and educate.

Our company provides much more than just an average dance performance or cultural experience. We immerse all clients in rich cultural heritage through the use of cultural frameworks and many mediums. These mediums include song, dance, cultural humility training, professional development for staff, cultural supervision, emotional, spiritual and physical wellbeing facilitation and cultural education.
