Introduction to encaustic art

In this encaustic art class, you'll learn the ancient technique of working with molten beeswax and pigments to create textured, layered artwork. Using heat, you'll explore various methods of applying, carving, and manipulating the wax to produce unique and vibrant pieces. Whether you're a beginner or have experience in other mediums, this class offers a creative space to experiment and develop your own artistic style with encaustic.

Materials provided, however feel free to bring your own collage materials. Especially if you are a print maker, bring old prints or drawings we can cut up.
