Get ready for winter: Preparing a comfortable, low-cost, efficient home for the colder months
Join us for a friendly, informative workshop as part of Ku-ring-gai Council's Seniors Festival Week.
The 60-minute workshop will show you simple, but effective ways to improve your comfort levels and lower your energy bills in your house or apartment. Including selecting energy efficient appliances, lowering bills, how to block key draught areas and more.
We will serve a light lunch following the workshop.
About your presenter
Jo Taranto is a Sydney-based speaker and sustainability educator, passionate about inspiring people to create healthy, liveable communities. In 2018, she co-founded social enterprise consultancy, Good for the Hood with a mission to create more connected and sustainable communities all over Australia. Jo’s skill is creating a comfortable space for residents to come together and discuss solutions that benefit individuals and communities. You will leave this event with a renewed enthusiasm create a comfortable, efficient, healthy place to live.
The workshop is being presented by Good for the Hood and Ku-ring-gai Council with support from Sydney North Health Network.
