Ageing and disability rights and self-advocacy workshop
Next date: Wednesday, 20 November 2024 | 10:00 AM
to 12:00 PM
Come along to a workshop for people living with dementia, people with disability, their families and carers. The workshop discusses appropriate processes and pathways to advocate for the rights of those living with dementia or disability and their loved ones.
A speaker from Action for People with Disability will discuss the definition of a ‘right’ in this context and give a brief overview of existing protections. They will also show how you can develop a working relationship with various agencies to uphold your rights and how effective communication can help you reach your goals.
