Frequently asked questions

How does the licence plate recognition system work?

The cameras at the B1 Entrance will scan your plate and start your parking session. The session will end when you pass through either B3 into TfNSW Commuter carpark or out of B1 Exit.

How do users pay?

When wishing to leave the carpark you can go to one of the meters located on each level or on exit of B1 you can pay at the exit meter when prompted.

What is the free parking period?

Two hours after which you will need to pay per the parking rates.

How does the traffic light system at exit work? What do the green and red lights signify?

The traffic light will be RED when you approach and you must stop in line with the meter. Your plate will be read on exit, the meter will calculate and determine if you need to pay or if you can drive ahead. It will go GREEN if you have paid for your parking session.

If I park in the Transport Park&Ride commuter section, will the traffic lights at exit recognise that I didn't park in a Council space?

Yes. Entering into Transport Park&Ride will count as exiting the main carpark and close your session. Exiting Transport Park&Ride will start a new session but you will begin a new session which has two hours free.

If you exit the main carpark in less than two hours you will not be charged.

Can I park in the car park more than once in a day?

This car park is not a one period per day car park. You can park multiple times throughout the day.
