The Festival of Flesh and Stone
In celebration of the International Day of Sculpture and the International Day of Dance, Ku-ring-gai Art Centre presents “The Festival of Flesh and Stone”, featuring over 70 artworks selected from scores of work created by the artists, tutors and students of the Art Centre.
Many of the works feature the embodiment of flesh, movement and the physical connection of dance through stone and ceramics, while others explore the creation of flesh tone and form through oil paint and drawing tools.
With something for all artistic tastes, this exhibition showcases landscapes, figurative work and mediums including timber, glass and jewellery.
So please join us, as many around the world celebrate the community, the art works and the love of sculpture, dance and participation in the arts.
The exhibition runs till 31 May.
Entry is free and the gallery welcomes visitors Mon-Friday from 9am-4pm.
