Australia Day provides an opportunity for all Australians to celebrate our national day. Australia Day is marked by events across Australia, including special citizenship ceremonies.

Ku-ring-gai's Australian Citizenship Ceremony & Local Citizen of the Year Awards will be celebrated at Knox Grammar School Wahroonga commencing at 9.30am on Australia Day.

Ku-ring-gai will welcome 200 new Australian citizens and our Citizen of the Year Awards will showcase the groups and individuals who are making a difference within our community. The Ceremony will include a Welcome to Country delivered by Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land Council, and a special Australia Day address by Ambassador Ms Bobby Redman. Pre ceremony entertainment will commence at 8.30am with Ku-ring-gai Youth Orchestra and Australian Girls’ Choir.
