Council undertook a major upgrade of Putarri Reserve in 2020.

Significant improvements to drainage and recreation facilities were undertaken following extensive community consultation.

Site features include a central open lawn area surrounded by a continuous pedestrian / cycle path linking a variety of accessible play, exercise and picnicking facilities. Another popular highlight is the reserve's playful giant snail sculpture.

Putarri Reserve is located in a shaded landscaped setting, it is fully fenced and an accessible parking space is available near the main entry.
