Neighbourhood Centre revitalisation

In 2015 Council adopted the Neighbourhood Centres Revitalisation Program which approved the upgrade of 15 neighbourhood centres across the LGA.

Council undertook some initial community consultation in 2015/16 as Babbage Road was high on the priority list. However, uncertainty over the LGA boundaries bought on by the prospect of Council mergers meant the project stalled. In late 2019/early 2020 Council updated the concept plan and sought feedback from the community before proceeding to the detailed design.

Council has now completed the design works and the project has been handed over to the Project Delivery Team with works to commence on site at the end of July 2020.

The works include upgraded footpaths, landscaping works - garden beds, new seating and drainage.
