Winning entrants in the 2023 Local Business Awards

Fourteen Ku-ring-gai businesses have been recognised in this year’s awards, with one taking out the overall title of Local Business of the Year.

Ku-ring-gai Council sponsored this year’s awards, with the winners in 38 business categories announced at the presentation this week.

The awards cover the areas of Hornsby and Ku-ring-gai and this year attracted a total of 280 entries.

The finalists in each category were selected based on the highest numbers of online and printed nominations they received from the public.

This year’s Local Business of the Year award was presented to Lady Davidson Hospital in North Turramurra. The hospital also took out the Health Improvement Services category award.

Speaking after the awards presentation, Mayor Sam Ngai said a Ku-ring-gai business had won the coveted Business of the Year award for the third straight year.

“This year’s awards were a great achievement for Ku-ring-gai businesses and shows their commitment to excellent customer service.”
