Tree Forum

Council held a successful Tree Forum with community members on Tuesday 26 March, addressing the critical issue of illegal tree removal in Ku-ring-gai.

The forum addressed a number of topics including:

  • Measures that can be taken to prevent tree removal
  • Identifying obstacles in sustaining and enhancing our tree canopy
  • Proactive education and communication programs to raise awareness of the importance of trees in Ku-ring-gai.

The forum also opened up discussions, where the community had the opportunity to share potential solutions as well as their insights and experiences in protecting Ku-ring-gai's trees and urban forest.

Council has taken all feedback on board and will continue to work with the community to protect trees and valued canopy.
