Meet the Mayor and your Councillors

Starting on Saturday 1 July, Mayor Jeff Pettett and councillors for each Ku-ring-gai ward will be out and about talking to residents every month till the end of this year

The sessions are intended to be an informal way for residents to approach the Mayor and their ward councillors to discuss any issues or concerns they may have.

It is also a chance for councillors to discuss projects coming up and what is happening at Council.

The first session will be held in the foyer of Gordon Library on Saturday 1 July between 10am and 12 noon, with Deputy Mayor Barbara Ward and Cr Simon Lennon representing the Gordon ward in attendance, along with the Mayor.

The next session will be at Phillip Mall West Pymble on Friday 17 August between 10am and 12 noon with the Mayor and Cr Greg Taylor representing the Comenarra ward.

Other sessions are planned for:

  • Saturday 30 September 10am to 12 noon - St Ives Community Centre with Crs Martin Smith and Christine Kay representing St Ives ward.
  • Saturday 29 October 10am to 12 noon - at Wahroonga Park with Crs Cedric Spencer and Kim Wheatley.
  • Sunday 19 November 9am to 11am - East Lindfield shopping centre with Crs Sam Ngai and Alec Taylor.

Mayor Jeff Pettett said the Meet the Mayor & Councillor sessions were aimed at residents would like to meet their elected representatives in an informal setting.

“It’s a chance for us to provide information about what the Council is doing to address important issues and to hear feedback from our residents.”
