The keynote speaker at the Forum will be Annabelle Daniel OAM, the Chair of Domestic Violence NSW and CEO of Women’s Community Shelters who will share her expertise on the topic of violence against women.

Annabelle will discuss women’s representation and how to find a voice, as well as removing barriers to the inclusion of culturally diverse women in public life.

Following Annabelle’s presentation, female councillors from Ku-ring-gai Council along with representatives from community support organisations will lead panel discussions.

Organisations taking part are Lifeline, Catholic Health Care, the Ku-ring-gai Neighbourhood Centre and Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Multicultural Interagency.

Topics identified in last year’s inaugural Women’s Forum will be discussed. These include women having a voice and political participation, cultural inclusion and domestic violence.

This year’s forum will also showcase successful women-led initiatives at the local and regional level.

The free event is at Avondale Golf Club in Pymble between 10am and 12 noon on Thursday 9 March. Morning tea will be served during the Forum.
