Have your say on Ku-ring-gai’s future

Residents are invited to give feedback on a long-term plan for Council priorities.
Following the election of the new Council in September this year, Ku-ring-gai Council is engaging with local residents, businesses and community groups on the development of a new Community Strategic Plan (CSP).
The CSP describes the community’s long-term aspirations and strategies for achieving goals over the next ten years. It is developed in consultation with the community and guides Council’s priorities, budgeting and planning.
As a first step in community consultation on the new CSP, Council has set up a web page for residents to complete a survey or fill out an online comment form at the engagement hub.
Residents can also email or mail their feedback and attend a community forum to contribute to the development of the new plan. The first stage of consultation is open between 13 November and 11 December 2024.
Consultation will continue next year, with the Council to endorse a final version of the Plan by June 2025
Mayor Christine Kay said the new Council was keen to hear from the community about their long-term priorities
“Obviously new housing is very much on our minds, but we also want to hear from residents about other issues, especially those for women, young people and those who don’t have English as their first language”.
“This is your opportunity to share your thoughts on how Ku-ring-gai Council can continue to balance future growth while preserving our environment and identity”.
