Community call out for Ku-ring-gai planning panel
Published on 23 October 2023
Ku-ring-gai Council is seeking community members to help decide future development in the area by joining Ku-ring-gai’s Local Planning Panel.
The Ku-ring-gai Local Planning Panel was set up in 2018 to make decisions on local development applications.
The current community members of the Panel have served two consecutive three-year terms and the Council is now seeking new representatives. Up to three community panel members will be recruited, serving on the panel on a rotational basis.
Property developers, real estate agents and current Councillors are ineligible to apply.
The Panel meets monthly and is composed of a Chair, two independent experts and one community member at each meeting. The community member is paid a fee for their time and will commence in 2024.
Community panel members are expected to contribute constructively to panel discussions, attend meetings and help make decisions for development in the Ku-ring-gai area.
Applications are open until 5pm on Friday 5 January 2024 and more information and a nomination form can be found at www.krg.nsw.gov.au/KLPP
