Australia Day events in Ku-ring-gai

A pool party and special citizenship ceremony are coming up on Sunday 26 January
Mayor Christine Kay and Councillors will welcome approximately 200 new Australians from 38 countries making their pledge as citizens at a special citizenship ceremony.
The winners of the 2025 Ku-ring-gai Local Citizen of the Year Awards will also be announced in the morning ceremony held at Knox Grammar School.
In the afternoon between 1pm and 5pm the Ku-ring-gai Fitness & Aquatic Centre next to Bicentennial Park in West Pymble will host a pool party featuring a BBQ, face painting, free entertainment and a poolside DJ.
Entry is by gold coin donation and no bookings are required.
Due to limited parking, those wishing to attend the pool party are advised to park in Lofberg Road.
Mayor Kay said the pool party would be a day of fun for the community and a chance for families to get together for one final celebration before the school holidays ended.
“I’m also looking forward to welcoming our new citizens into our community.”
Council’s Australia Day events are assisted by a grant from the National Australia Day Council. For more details about the pool party visit krg.nsw.gov.au/whatson
