Art & Cultural Committee nominations open

Ku-ring-gai Council is seeking community representatives for its new Arts & Cultural Advisory Committee

Are arts and culture your passion? Then you may be exactly who the Council is looking for as it establishes a brand-new committee to advise on arts and cultural activities in the Ku-ring-gai area.

The new committee was endorsed by the Council at its November meeting and nominations are open until 12 January 2024.

From live events and festivals, outdoor sculptures, local orchestral performances and exhibitions at the Ku-ring-gai Art Centre, the committee will be a key resource for Council.

The voluntary committee members will be responsible for facilitating communication between cultural organisations and Council in arts and cultural related disciplines and assist in gathering input from the local creative community for future initiatives.

The committee will also advocate for local artists and creative communities in developing a strong cultural identity for Ku-ring-gai’s developing arts scene.
