Ku-ring-gai Council is hosting two free workshops for community groups and not-for-profits on grant applications and trialling new services.

The Council is hosting the workshops on Tuesday 25 March and Wednesday 2 April as online sessions.

The first session between 1pm and 3pm on Tuesday 25 March will focus on writing effective grant applications and finding additional funds.

Attendees from community organisations will be shown how to access a range of funding options, how to improve the quality of their written grant applications and how to manage their project effectively if their application is successful.

The workshop is suitable for aged care providers, not-for-profits and community groups and is being hosted by Ku-ring-gai, Mosman and Willoughby Councils and the Your Side organisation.

The second online workshop is a presentation on creating positive auspicing relationships. Auspicing is a strategic way for organisations to work together to provide services or activities.

Auspicing is ideal for trying out new projects or programs, holding one-off events or gaining access to funding or insurance.

The workshop will discuss the importance of understanding the legal implications and responsibilities of all parties involved in auspicing agreements and key points to consider when entering an auspicing arrangement.

This free online workshop is on Wednesday 2 April between 1pm and 2.30pm and presented by Ku-ring-gai Council and Your Side.
