Councillor Cedric Spencer was elected to Council in 2017 and has previously served as Deputy Mayor and Mayor.

Dr Cedric Spencer is a solicitor and an academic who runs a boutique law firm in the Upper North Shore. He lives in Turramurra with his wife and young son. His qualifications include Juris Doctor; Doctor of Business Administration; Master of Business; Graduate Diploma in Laws; Graduate Diploma in Transport and Distribution Management; and Advanced Diploma in Transport.

Councillor Spencer is passionate about local issues including placing high importance on his availability to the local community to actively advocate on a diverse range of issues.

  • His interest is in delivering services to ratepayers and residents and achieving customer satisfaction in the services that Council provides.
  • He is committed to listening, to caring, to responding to, to attend to your concerns and to always be energetic in representing you, his constituents - residents, small businesses, schools and community groups - solving problems between you and Council.
  • He is committed to limiting high rise development to existing transport and major shopping hubs, such as the Turramurra station precinct and in opposing the spread of medium-density development across the entire municipality, into quiet residential streets, distant from public transport, shops and other facilities.
