Cr Barbara Ward was elected to Council in 2021 and has lived in Gordon for nearly thirty years with her husband Gary.
Cr Ward was also previously elected in Jan 2022 to serve as Deputy Mayor, which she served for a period of two years.
Cr Ward is an experienced, accomplished businesswoman and community leader. She works across government, private and not for profit sectors with a long history of executive and governance roles in diverse industries. She is the Founder and Director of Impact One and creates business opportunities in trade, scale up, transformation and execution to the next stage of growth and maturity.
Cr Ward is a seasoned Director on Boards which includes Ministerial Advisory Council on Aging, Advisory Board of UN Australia NSW, Asia Australia Business Council, Studio A and Lifeline. She is an advocate for mental health and well-being. Her passion for good public policy like many; stems from her experience that a strong economy is the basis of a just society and works tirelessly for those less fortunate. Cr Ward is a recipient of many awards for her efforts.
Cr Ward is a pragmatic director with a strong focus on integrity, transparency and a commitment to working with people. Through collaboration and inclusiveness she wants to bring fresh ideas and positive results-focussed solutions for residents.

- Delegate for North Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils (NSROC)

- Delegate of the Hornsby/Ku-ring-gai PCYC Community Engagement Committee
