Demographic profile
Over 124,659 people live in Ku-ring-gai, with most aged 40 years or over and 46% parents with children.
Of those working, most are professionals, managers, clerical and administrative workers.
In Ku-ring-gai, 42% of us were born overseas, mainly in China, the United Kingdom, South Africa, Hong Kong, India, South Korea, New Zealand, Malaysia, Iran or United States of America. Aside from English, the most commonly spoken languages at home are Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Persian, Hindi and Japanese.
Based on Census data, the demographic profile contains information such as:
