Gordon Youth Hub
Open during school terms, Gordon Youth Hub provides a free recreation and referral service for all young people aged 12 to 18 years.
Location: Old school building next to Gordon Library, 799 Pacific Highway, Gordon.
Open: Thursday 3pm to 6pm.
Facilities & equipment: Foosball, table tennis, Nintendo switch, computers, music, TVs and Netflix.
St Ives Youth Hub
Open during school terms, St Ives Youth Hub provides a free recreation and referral service for all young people aged 12 to 18 years.
Location: 6 Memorial Avenue, St Ives (opposite St Ives Shopping Village, next to St Ives skate park).
Open: Tuesday to Thursday 3pm - 6pm and Friday 3pm - 8pm.
Facilities & equipment: Pool table, table tennis, foosball, X Box, Nintendo Switch, Kitchen, TV and Netflix.

Gordon and St Ives Youth Hubs are staffed by Council Youth workers.
Meet our team
Lily Giles - Youth Services Coordinator
Lily completed her studies in Social Policy in 2019. She has a passion for community engagement and was selected by the University of Sydney to undergo research projects in both Indonesia and the Tiwi Islands, Australia. With experience in stakeholder engagement, project management and consultation, she is passionate about creating more connected and resilient communities.
Lily is excited to bring a youthful and dedicated spirit to the Youth Services team. Outside of work Lily enjoys exploring the arts scene in Sydney and spending time with friends and family.

Amelia Chesser - Youth Development Officer
Previously as a Youth Services Worker, Amelia Chesser (Milly) has been a part of the Youth Services team at Ku-ring-gai Council since March 2022 after completing her studies in Psychology and Social Work. Milly has extensive knowledge and training working with young people with traumatic backgrounds and has developed community projects encouraging engagement and youth development, providing safe and creative spaces for young people.
Milly is excited to help empower and support youth of the local area in her role. Milly is passionate about surfing, skateboarding, paddle boarding and soccer and loves everything music.

Jin Cheng - Youth Development Officer
Jin graduated with a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Sydney in 2019. She is passionate about helping young people thrive and has extensive experience working with youth from diverse backgrounds. Jin has successfully planned and led numerous school cultural programs and workshops, demonstrating her ability to create engaging and safe spaces for young people.
She is excited to bring her vibrant enthusiasm and dedication to the Youth Services team. Jin speaks fluent Mandarin and has lived in China, Singapore, and Australia. In her free time, she enjoys participating in various sports and outdoor adventures.
