Mayor's Christmas Appeal
Help local families in need
Mayor Christine Kay has launched the Mayor's Christmas Appeal, inviting our community to donate food and gift items to make the upcoming festive season a happier time for local families in need.
This year we are collecting toy and gift items as well as tinned and packaged food. Alternatively, you can make a cash donation, with money collected going directly to the hampers.
Your donations will be distributed to local people by Lifeline Harbour to Hawkesbury Sydney, who will be delivering Christmas hampers across Ku-ring-gai and Hornsby. Many people in our community are experiencing financial hardship, social isolation or are trying to cope with varying levels of distress.
The Mayor's Christmas Appeal will be open for donations until 5pm on Friday 6 December.
