Ku-ring-gai says NO to gender-based violence

Ku-ring-gai Council is encouraging community members to get involved, learn more and spread the word so we can work towards an area which does not tolerate gender-based violence.

Council is supporting a campaign on this important issue, concurrently with the United Nations’ 2024 16 Days of Activism to end violence against women. 

From 25 November to 10 December 2024, you can take part in events and activities including:

• The Hornsby Ku-ring-gai domestic and family violence Walk the Talk event being held at Waitara PCYC on 27 November.
• The Lindara Markets being held at Lindfield Uniting Church on 30 November. All market proceeds will help finance a part time social worker, who provides interventions for families in crisis, at risk of domestic violence or homelessness.
• A free talk by author Jess Hill – known for her groundbreaking writing on gendered violence – at Gordon Library on 5 December.
